Dr. Albert Carrion Puig graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in 2009 and did his specialization via MIR in Urology at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (2010-2015) where he obtained the MSD award for the best resident of the promotion (2016).
At the end of the residency, he received the "Emili Letang End of Residency Award" consisting of a grant for research on molecular markers of prostate cancer, as well as a grant from the "European Urological Scholarship Program" (EUSP) to do a rotation at the University College of London Hospital. He hold the "Fellow of the European Board of Urology" certificate since 2016.
He is working as a urology assistant at the Hospital Clinic since 2016. Since 2017 he has been a urology specialist at the Vall Hebron Hospital where I specifically focus on the management of Urothelial Carcinoma (bladder and upper urinary tract ).
He completed his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Barcelona.
Since 2021 he belong to the panel of experts in muscle-invasive and metastatic bladder cancer of the European Urology Guidelines ("EAU Guidelines"). Soc membre de la Societat Catalana d'Urologia, de la Societat Espanyola i de la "European Association of Urology".
