Albert Palomer PhD

Albert Palomer has over 25 years expertise in the drug discovery and chemical development of anti-infectives and CNS and pain/inflammation modulators. Before joining Ferrer in 2001 as Head of the Medicinal Chemistry Department – R&D, he was at the Max Planck Institute fur Strahlenchemie (Mulheim a.d. Ruhr, Germany) and had several roles at Ciba-Geigy (Basel) and Menarini (Badalona), where he was co-discoverer of the marketed analgesic Enantyum (Dexketoprofen Trometamol). At Ferrer he was co-discoverer of the CNS compound Lorediplon in clinical development for the treatment of transient insomnia. He is the author of over 55 peer reviewed articles and of 35 issued patents.
