Alberico Sessa is an Italian-American, born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on Staten Island. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, where he was a member of the Fordham University Men’s Crew. He received his first post-graduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1997. Dr. Sessa earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University College of Medicine in 2000. He then served his internship in General Surgery at Charity Hospital, and afterward completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Louisiana State University, New Orleans, one of the nation's top 2 programs.

Following residency, Dr. Sessa completed a Facial & Full Body Cosmetic Surgery fellowship accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. This fellowship allowed Dr. Sessa to exclusively and intensively train in cosmetic surgery, where he participated in more than 700 facial and body cosmetic procedures with board-certified cosmetic and plastic surgeons. Dr. Sessa is Board Certified in Facial, Body, Breast, and Extremity Cosmetic Surgery by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
