Alap Gandhi MD, MBBS

Dr. Alap Gandhi is currently working as the Head, Medical Affairs at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, India. He brings with him over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry having worked with organizations like WHO, and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. As a core strategic partner, he has worked extensively in building and disseminating patient-focused scientific communications, enhancing patient access, and helping clinicians to the best use of optimal medical treatment. While keeping patients and science in the center, he has led medical launches and established multiple patented and branded generic products in different therapy areas. He has been actively involved in several Phase III-IV global /national studies.

Dr. Gandhi has more than 10 national and international publications to his name. He believes in developing a deeper understanding of patient needs that encompasses the patient insights from different healthcare stakeholders. His interests include crafting innovative digital ways to make health outcomes the primary orientation of scientific engagement. He also interests in strengthening the ability of medical systems to effectively manage the healthcare of entire populations.
