Dr. Vernec is the medical director of WADA since 2009. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego (Bioengineering) and McGill University (Medicine).
Dr. Vernec has extensive experience with elite sports. He has been team physician for professional and national sport teams, including professional soccer, the national Athletics and Judo teams and was team physician at many international sport events including three Olympic Games
