Alan Sinclair

Professor Alan Sinclair is an international expert in diabetes and geriatrics and is Professor of Medicine at the University of Bedfordshire and Deputy Dean at the Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Postgraduate Medical School.
He was formerly Charles Hayward Professor of Geriatric Medicine in Birmingham.
He is Chair of a European Working Party on Diabetes in Old Age which recently produced international guidelines on diabetes care for older people. He has been designated a WHO Expert in Diabetes.
Professor Sinclair was a major influence in establishing the EUGMS (European Union Geriatric Medicine Society) and was the Academic Director between 2001 and 2005.
