Alan Mitchell Atlas DMD

Dr. Alan Atlas received his D.M.D degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and currently serves there as Clinical Professor in the Department of Endodontics and the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences. He is co-director of the Endodontic-Restorative Microscopy and Technology Clinic teaching students precision restorative dentistry utilizing the dental microscope and digital technologies. Dr. Atlas is actively involved in the development and integration of clinical research studies for ceramics, CAD-CAM, and dental materials. Dr. Atlas holds membership in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and the International Association for Dental Research.

He is a past recipient of the Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Award of Merit and is selected annually by his peers as a “Top Dentist” in Philadelphia Pennsylvania as voted in Philadelphia Magazine. Dr. Atlas serves on the editorial board of several journals and publishes on various topics in dentistry including innovative research and clinical protocols on esthetic restorations. Dr. Atlas is an internationally recognized lecturer whose unique academic and private practice perspective is focused on applying scientifically-based protocols to general and advanced clinical dentistry. His presentations span worldwide including China, Africa, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Europe. His private practice is dedicated to Esthetic and Comprehensive Restorative Dentistry with an emphasis on service and quality of care.
