Alan Lembitz MD

Alan Lembitz, MD, MMM, has been the Vice President of COPIC Patient Safety and Risk Management and its Chief Medical Officer since 2010. Dr Lembitz’ responsibilities include oversight of the COPIC 3Rs early intervention program, the Practice Quality initiative, all development and CME for over 450 annual seminars in Colorado and Nebraska, and oversight of the COPIC residency training rotation which reaches nearly 200 residents annually.

Dr. Lembitz’ national speaking engagements and presentations have included the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) Annual Conference, the ASHRM annual conference, the PIAA annual conference and section meetings including the legal section, marketing and claims and risk, and the Colorado and the American Academy of Family Physicians annual conferences, among others. Dr. Lembitz has published in the Journal of Patient Safety in Surgery, and the New England Journal of Medicine and Health Affairs.
