Alan Dorling BSc

Alan Dorling, Global Head - Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences, IAG Cargo. After graduating in Applied Biochemistry in 1981 from Brunel University Alan joined the pharmaceutical industry and held appointments for over 20 years in major blue chip Pharmaceutical companies Bayer, Roche and Wyeth in senior commercial roles. Prior to joining IAG Cargo in 2011 Alan focussed his career on small to mid-sized companies where he held appointments as CEO of MediChain Ltd leading the first ever UK and European trial of an Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system. In 2001 he was appointed as UK Managing Director of Genus Pharmaceuticals and as Chairman in 2005 where he led the turnaround and participated in the sale of the Company to STADA AG for €17.0m. This led to his international appointment in Frankfurt Germany with STADA AG as European President of Oncology. He has additionally advised companies as a Principle Business Consultant for the Penn Group on strategic marketing, supply chain intelligence and breakthrough management.
