Alan Abrams MD, MPH

Alan Abrams- Medical Director BIDCO Pioneer ACO; MD, MPH. Dr. Abrams has been a leader in geriatric education for over 20 yrs. at the Harvard Multicampus Geriatric Fellowship, as well as practiced in multiple settings including the VA GRECC, as Chief of Geriatrics at The Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard teaching public health and hospital system, and been Medical Director of multiple nursing homes, CCRCs, a PACE site, Special Needs Plans for commercial payers, including a plan for low income seniors. He currently serves as Medical Director of one of the 25 Pioneer ACOs. He has supported the careers of dozens of Geriatric Medicine Fellows in academic clinical research as well as clinician educator track, taken 100s of students on Housecalls and NH visits and has taught medical students, Geriatric NPs, Medicine and Family Medicine residents, as well as Fellows. He stepped down recently as the Program Director of the Harvard Geriatric Medicine Fellowship to assume the Assistant Program Director position to attend to the successful implementation of the Pioneer ACO program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
