Dr. Delcayre has 20+ years of experience in the biotech industry most of which in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Dr. Delcayre was Vice President of Research & Development for the Cancer Division of Bavarian Nordic (formerly BN-ImmunoTherapeutics, Mountain View, CA). In this position, he contributed to the development of several poxvirus-based vaccines in the clinic, including PROSTVAC in a pivotal phase 3 clinical trial for the treatment of patients with metastatic prostate cancer in collaboration with the NCI. Prior to this, Dr. Delcayre was Vice President of Research & Development at Anosys (Menlo Park, CA), a company that developed autologous cancer vaccines up to phase II clinical studies using dendritic cell-derived vesicles called exosomes. Dr. Delcayre co-invented the Exosome Display technology used today at mAbRx for the generation of the company product pipeline. Prior to his position at Anosys, Dr. Delcayre was Principal Investigator/Project Leader for Genesis Research & Development Corporation (Auckland, New Zealand) where he contributed to the launching of a forestry genomic program and to the development of a multi-epitope vaccine for the treatment of tuberculosis. Dr. Delcayre received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (PARIS VI) and completed postdoctoral studies at the California Institute of Biologic Research and Stratagene (La Jolla, CA).
