Dr. Bhandari is the director of robotic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is also the co-chief and an assistant professor of urology at Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Columbia University Division of Urology.
A graduate of the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Dr. Bhandari completed his residency in urology and a fellowship in robotic and minimally invasive surgery under the tutelage of Dr. Mani Menon, a pioneer in robotic surgery. He was a member of the founding robotic surgery team at the Vattikuti Urology Institute, which has performed more than 6,000 robotic procedures. During his training, Dr. Bhandari was an integral member of the teams that developed techniques to perform robotic-assisted kidney and pediatric urologic procedures.
