Akiko Mizuno PhD

Akiko Mizuno is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a member of the Geriatric Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory. Dr. Mizuno earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from San Diego State University and her doctorate in cognitive psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Mizuno studies the neurobiological mechanisms underlying social cognition that may help to explain the symptoms of dementia and late-life depression.
