Ajay K. Gopal MD

Dr. Ajay K. Gopal, MD, is a prominent hematologic oncologist and Professor of Medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is also a key physician-scientist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, where he plays multiple leadership roles in advancing cancer care and research. Dr. Gopal serves as the Medical Director of the Hematology and Hematologic Malignancy Program and Director of Clinical Research for Hematologic Malignancies at Fred Hutch. In these roles, he leads efforts to develop and implement innovative therapies for patients with blood cancers.

Clinically, Dr. Gopal specializes in the treatment of lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies, including Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He is known for his patient-centered approach, focusing on personalized care strategies tailored to individual patient needs.

His research centers on clinical trials and translational oncology, particularly on developing novel therapies, including immunotherapy and targeted treatments for lymphoma.
