Aimee Lenar, VP of Gastroenterology and Psychiatry, leads the strategic and investment decisions for two of Allergan’s largest business segments— the Gastroenterology (GI) and Psychiatry portfolios. She is also co-chair of the Allergan GI Governance Board, which is responsible for making global research and development decisions for Allergan’s GI and liver products.
Prior to this role, Ms. Lenar worked as a research and marketing executive for some of the most noted healthcare companies in the industry. Over the span of her nearly two-decades in the industry, she has led numerous global marketing projects and product launches across various healthcare verticals, including CNS, women’s healthcare, and internal medicine, creating greater awareness among healthcare practitioners and consumers.
Prior to roles within the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Lenar worked at the CDC’s National Center for Infectious Diseases. As a staple in the healthcare community, she is regularly called upon for her expertise and has been featured in numerous media outlets, including FiercePharma, Forbes, and Drug Store News, to name a few. Ms. Lenar received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Princeton University followed by her Masters of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
