Aikaterina Lalatsa PhD, MPhil, MPharm, FHEA

Katerina Lalatsa is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery, in the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Portsmouth leading the Molecular Engineering and Nanomedicines Laboratory. Her research aims are focused in understanding the molecular engineering of peptide and polymeric nanomaterials and the development of targeted nanomedicines able to delivery poorly soluble drugs and biologicals across physiological barriers such as the blood-brain barrier, the stratum corneum and the urothelium. She currently leads a research team of 3 PhDs, 1 MSc and 6 undergraduates working closely with industrial and clinical collaborators in UK and abroad.
