Ahmed Nassar MD, FACS

Ahmed Nassar is a Transplant & Hepatobiliary Surgeon at Henry Ford Health. He completed his general surgery residency in 2019 and his research fellowship in ex vivo organ perfusion both at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. During his research fellowship, he assisted in developing an organ perfusion device that received an investigational device exemption from the FDA for clinical use. Dr Nassar has a specific interest in organ perfusion, preservation, and rehabilitation. He has authored multiple publications and book chapters in the field of transplantation. He is also interested in medical student and resident education, having won multiple awards in those fields. Dr Nassar is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
