Ahmad (mo) S. Khalil PhD

Ahmad (Mo) Khalil is the Innovation Career Development Professor and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He serves as the Associate Director and Founding Core Member of the Boston University Center of Synthetic Biology (CoSBi). His research is primarily in systems & synthetic biology. His lab uses quantitative and engineering approaches to understand the design principles of complex living systems and to develop new tools for rationally programming cells for biomedical and other applications. At the Wyss, Mo is advancing next-generation synthetic biology efforts, as well as developing new technologies, such as advanced fluidic devices, for manipulating and studying cells with increased control and precision.
