Ahmad Kanaan Awaida

Dr. Kanaan graduated from the American University of Beirut ,Lebanon in 1981 and pursued residency training in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious diseases at Wayne state university affiliated hospitals in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is certified by the American board of internal medicine as well as infectious diseases. He is a fellow of the American college of physicians and member of the infectious diseases society of America.

In his post graduation, he joined King Fahd university in Saudi Arabia as assistant professor of medicine and infectious diseases. Following that he joined Hamad Medical Center in Qatar for 4 years before returning to clinical practice in Western Pennsylvania, USA. He joined Zayed Military Hospital Abu Dhabi in December 1996 where he still works and currently chairs the infection control committee and holds the position of head of infectious diseases section, department of internal medicine.
