Ahmad Beydoun, MD is currently a Professor of Neurology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. After completing his clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Michigan, Prof. Beydoun stayed on as a faculty member at that institution and went up the rank to eventually become a Professor of Neurology and Director of the comprehensive epilepsy program at the University of Michigan. 

Prof. Beydoun is an internationally known epileptologist, with more than 90 peer-reviewed articles in addition to multiple book chapters. He has participated as the principal investigator in more than 50 clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of a number of investigational anti-epileptic drugs. He is currently the president of the Lebanese League Against Epilepsy and the former president of the ILAE Commission of Eastern Mediterranean Affairs. Prof. Beydoun has lectured extensively worldwide and his current research interest besides outcomes of epilepsy surgery is focused on a large prospective study of patients with newly diagnosed epilepsy.
