Ahmad Almaya BSc, PhD

Dr. Ahmad Almaya is currently a Director in the Small Molecule Design and Development organization within Lilly R&D. He holds a bachelor degree in Pharmacy, a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics, and an Executive Certificate in the Business of Life Sciences. He joined Lilly in 2002 where he led formulation and process development teams for the development of a wide range of dosage forms and manufacturing platforms. Ahmad served as the scientific team leader for the investigation and optimization of continuous direct compression technology within Lilly’s R&D organization during the period 2012-2014. Since then he has led multiple development teams and partnered with Lilly Manufacturing on implementing continuous manufacturing for several Lilly portfolio molecules.
