Agnieszka Pawlak, MD, Ph.D., FESC graduated with honors from the Medical University in Warsaw. Dr. Pawlak is currently the Chief of the Heart Failure Unit and Echocardiography Lab in the Department of Invasive Cardiology of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior in Warsaw. She is also a researcher at the Mossakowski Medical Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Her main interest includes heart failure, myocarditis, echocardiography, molecular biology, and the ultrastructure of heart tissue. She is the author or co-author of many publications in peer–reviewed journals, abstracts, and chapters of books. Dr. Pawlak is a member of the Polish Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology (ESC), European Heart Failure Association, and Member of the Working Group of Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases of ESC. She was trained at Allgemeines Krankenhaus (AKH) in Vien, Heart Center in Leipzig, Kerckhoff-Klinik in Bad Nauheim, and Columbia University in New York.
