Karowicz-Bilinska MD, Associate Professor Gynaecologist is a specialist obstetrician - a gynecologist Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Lodz. After graduating from medical school she was employed at the Institute of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Medical University of Lodz in the Department of Pathology of Pregnancy. She is a second-degree specialist in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. She received her Ph.D. and habilitated doctorate at the Medical University of Lodz. In 2009 she was nominated as a professor at the hands of the President. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the journal "Gynecology Poland" and an honorary member of the Polish Gynecological Society. She conducts research colposcopy, and ultrasounds is engaged in high-risk pregnancies, diagnosis and treatment of invasive uterine cervix changes, diagnosis and treatment of endometrial abnormalities, menstrual disorders, and reduced fertility. She has a European certificate, entitling her to research colposcopy and perform ultrasonographic research in obstetrics and gynecology. In 2008 and 2009 she was appointed by the Committee for Scientific Research to participate in the Panel of Reviewers of the Committee for Scientific Research of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. She has participated as a lecturer in the Prevention and Treatment of Early Cervical Cancer led by the Ministry of Health on behalf of the Central Office for the Coordination whose actions were in 2010 awarded by the European Parliament. In 2012, she was involved as a performer in the implementation of the EU grant: "Prevention is better than cure", "sex education" and the "Aurora". She lead as a theme manager in research related to the scope of intrahepatic cholestasis, the usefulness of ultrasonography in intrauterine hypotrophy and asymptomatic HPV infection in pregnant women, Chlamydia trachomatis and coexisting infections in the pathogenesis of preterm birth risk. She is the main contractor and manager of many research projects funded by the Research Committee. She takes practical exercises, seminars, and lectures for medical students in the Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Nursing and Midwifery. As a promoter and reviewer, she directs the work of licentiate and masters students. She is involved as a lecturer in courses organized by the CMKP attestation for doctors who specialize in the second degree in the field of obstetrics and gynecology and in exercises and lectures in further training courses organized by the First Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for doctors from Poland. As an expert, she often took part in the Polish Gynecological Society Recommendations aimed at working out a unified course of action in a variety of gynecological and obstetrical complications. As an invited lecturer she takes part in the meetings of the PTG in other branches of lectures on the role of homeostasis disorders in obstetrics, mechanisms of intrauterine hypotrophy, and the role of HPV infection in pregnancy. She also takes care of doctors who undertake internships and post-graduate doctors who undertake internships specializing in the field of gynecology and obstetrics. Scientific achievements include 136 scientific publications in full in peer-reviewed journals and 69 reports trials.
