Afrooz Moatari-kazerouni MSc, PhD

Dr. Afrooz Moatari-Kazerouni is a Certified Blockchain Expert and a Process Improvement Consultant. She is the CEO of Muda Minus as well as a Faculty member at the Dhillon School of Business, University of Lethbridge, Canada. Afrooz is a blockchain enthusiast working on community-based projects, currently working on developing “Blockchain Smart Logistics Networks for Agricultural Supply Chain” and “Healthcare Intelligence with Blockchain”. With a PhD in Industrial Engineering, she worked as a Faculty member and Instructor at various Business Schools including Adelphi University, NY, and McGill University, Canada. Her academic experience has led to several revolutionary projects on adoption of technologies for improving logistics processes of surgical instruments, introducing traceability and navigational technologies for emergency-related environments for firefighters and first responders, as well as a project on RFID enabled infrastructure for optimization of patients waiting and staff leveling in hospital Emergency Departments.

Launching her own venture, Muda Minus, in 2018, Afrooz thrives to improve business processes by bringing practical technological resolutions and providing innovative solutions to organizations. Muda Minus envisions helping industries to step further and coordinate their processes with future market adoptions through technology advancements such as Blockchain. Afrooz received her PhD in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal, Canada, and her MSc in Production Management from Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She has carry out two post-doctorate fellowships at McGill University and at the Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM), Canada.
