Born and raised in Oklahoma with work experience in Cambridge and Washington, DC, Adrienne Ballew Elder holds a Master in Public Health with specific training as a Certified Health Education Specialist. She is a Core Team member of the National Trauma Campaign, on the Speaker and Trainer's Bureau for ACEs Connection Network, and a recent author of a trauma-informed peer support group curriculum supplement (Getting Ahead ACEs).
For over 15 years, Adrienne has remained dedicated to the journey of building community and statewide trauma-informed and healing-centered coalitions by contracting on special projects and providing research of best practices, training, facilitating strategic planning, grant writing, project management, and technical assistance. Adrienne promotes multi-generational evidence-based programs and support groups that empower vulnerable populations to be engaged citizens. By working with diverse initiatives, Adrienne increases alignment with cross-sector collaborations while helping leadership teams cross the finish line on important milestones. Adrienne is passionate about individuals, organizations, and communities working together to increase stability and decrease barriers so that all members of society can thrive no matter where they live, work or play.
In her consulting role, Mrs. Elder has raised over $35 million in funding for community outreach, mental health, family planning, maternal and child health, early childhood education, addiction recovery, anti-poverty, homeless prevention, criminal justice, and workforce development.
