Adriana Baez-bermejo BS, PhD

Adriana Báez, PhD is Professor of Pharmacology & Otolaryngology at the University of Puerto Rico Medical School. Dr. Báez’s research is focused on the molecular and clinical determinants of head and neck cancer progression. She is co-Director of the NIH NRMN-RROC Initiative and an active facilitator for NRMN. She has facilitated mentor and mentee training for different institutions in Puerto Rico.

Dr. Báez has ample experience supporting the research endeavors of multiple undergraduate students, graduate students, and Otolaryngology residents. She has served as faculty sponsor of multiple graduate students and undergraduate honor students. In addition, Dr. Baez has helped launch several initiatives at the UPR Medical Sciences Campus, Ponce Health Sciences University, and Loma Linda University to jumpstart the scientific career of graduate students and junior faculty. Dr. Baez holds degrees from the Autonomous University of Madrid (PhD) and the University of Puerto Rico (BS).
