Adrian trained in Radiology at the Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals, London from 1997-2002 and obtained a research doctorate in the utility of microbubble ultrasound and use of MR spectroscopy in assessing chronic liver disease. He was appointed a Consultant Radiologist in the same departments in 2003 and simultaneously held an honorary Senior Lecturer’s position at Imperial College London. In 2010, he was promoted to Reader in Radiology, in 2013, made an Adjunct Professor and recently in 2017 was conferred the title of Professor of Practice.
