Dr Adrian Liew is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at the Department of Renal Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He is an associate professor of medicine and is the renal medicine curriculum lead for the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at the Nanyang Technological University-Imperial College London. He is an elected council member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), the elected Secretary and Executive of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis, and the Chair of the OSEA Regional Board for the ISN. He has also been appointed the Chair of the Renal Disaster Preparedness Workgroup of the ISN and the Chair of the national HALT-CKD Program in Singapore. He serves in his professional capacity as a Senior Consultant of the Ministry of Health, Singapore and as a member of various national advisory committees. He is the associate editor of the Nephrology Journal and is involved in various international clinical guidelines workgroups, including chairing the Asia-Pacific Society of Nephrology Diabetic Guidelines, and being a member of the KDIGO Guidelines on Glomerulonephritis and Diabetic Kidney Disease. He is also the national leader, member of steering committees and principal investigator of various international multi-centre trials.
