Adrian Jeremy Levine has been a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon in the UK for 19 years at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. He trained in London and the West Midlands in the UK. His clinical profile is one of a high-volume surgeon (performing over 200 cases per year) with an interest in heart failure surgery. He has one of the largest UK practices in Surgical Ventricular Restoration surgery.
Managerially he has led at a local, regional, national and international level, including UK National Lead for Coronary Revascularisation for Adult Cardiac Surgical CRG (2013 – 2016) and STS (Society of Thoracic Surgeons) Taskforce on Resuscitation – Co-opted UK Member (2013 – present). He has published on surgery for heart failure, ITU length of stay postoperatively, and most importantly on resuscitation after cardiac surgery.
Furthermore, he does medicolegal work (as an expert witness/ opinion) for cardiothoracic surgery and management consultancy work for a number of commercial companies (ATOS, GE, Hunter Healthcare Ltd, etc ) for a number of hospitals across the UK (2014 – present). Finally, he is the co-director of CALS S UK Ltd (www.csu-als.com) which coordinates and manages CALS (and now REACTÔ) training around the world.
