Adam William Anz, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports-related injuries, specifically focusing on complex knee surgery, hip arthroscopy, and innovative biologic treatments, with a special interest in stem cells for cartilage regeneration. His main goal is to keep patients of all ages as active as possible in the least invasive way.

Dr. Anz was born and raised in Auburn, Alabama. He graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in mathematics and was also a member of the honor society Phi Beta Kappa. He was awarded an Alabama Merritt Scholarship for medical education and attended the University of South Alabama College of Medicine where he graduated a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem.

Following his residency, Dr. Anz completed a sports fellowship at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado where he learned complex knee surgery from the famed Dr. Richard Steadman and Dr. Robert LaPrade, as well as hip arthroscopy from Dr. Marc Philippon. During this time, he became involved with medical coverage for the United States Ski Team and continues this involvement to date.
