Adam Mcarthur

Adam McArthur is Assistant General Counsel at AstraZeneca with global responsibility for a team supporting M&A, Business Development and AstraZeneca’s Operations Business Area. The group covers the most significant transactions and projects for the organisation, including licensing deals, supply chain contracts, procurement, outsourcing and IT projects. His work covers complex cross-jurisdictional transactions and contentious matters.

In addition Adam manages AstraZeneca’s Global Security Function. This group covers all aspects of protective and physical security, supporting business continuity and crisis management including cyber attack response planning.

Adam has a keen interest in legal technology and knowledge management and is leading a number of Legal IT initiatives within AstraZeneca, including development of internal Legal ‘apps’ and evaluating technology assisted review and enterprise data analytic solutions to support Legal and the wider AZ business.
