Adam Lewkowitz, MD, MPHS, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Lewkowitz graduated from Amherst College with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and sociology before earning his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco, and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (Barnes-Jewish Hospital).
He joined the Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University after graduating from the MFM fellowship. A board-certified MFM, Dr. Lewkowitz’s research and clinical interests include postpartum health and leveraging technology to improve health equity for women during and after pregnancy. He has published extensively in these areas as well as in clinical epidemiology and obstetrics.
