Dr. Adam Hamilton graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science and has a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in the specialty of prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. After working for five years in both private general dental and specialist prosthodontic practices, he sought to further his knowledge in the restorative and surgical aspects of implant dentistry through an ITI scholarship and fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida Center for Implant Dentistry. He was then invited to join the full time faculty in the Department of restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine to teach the advanced graduate implant dentistry course established by Dr. German Gallucci.

He has conducted research and published scientific papers investigating the fit of CAD/CAM implant abutments, and is actively engaged in further clinical research in the field of implant dentistry as a primary investigator and research mentor for the advanced graduate implant dentistry residents. Dr. Hamilton also maintains an active practice focusing on comprehensive oral rehabilitation with conventional prosthodontic and implant treatment within the Harvard Dental Center at HSDM. He is a Fellow by examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
