Abiola Catherine Senok MBBS, PhD, FRCPath

Dr Abiola Senok obtained her MBBS from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Pathologists, United Kingdom. She has over ten years experience in teaching medical microbiology to undergraduate and graduate students with applying an approach that enables students to develop critical thinking and self-directed learning skills. Her research has focussed on the molecular epidemiology and determinants of dissemination of multidrug resistant organisms. Her work has contributed to the understanding of antibiotic resistance epidemiology in the Arabian Gulf region. Other areas of research she works on include molecular pathogenesis of bacterial infection, probiotics and sexually transmitted infections.
