Dr. Abhishek Basu is a renowned Clinical Oncologist (who treats Non-Haematological Malignancies) practicing in Kolkata, having a vast experience of more than 10 years in this field. He has completed his MBBS and MD (Radiotherapy) from Medical College, Kolkata. He stood First in his batch in MBBS in the University of Calcutta and received several Gold Medals and Awards. He completed his DNB (Radiotherapy) from the National Board of Examinations where he stood First among all students all across India and received the prestigious Dr. Satyapal Agarwal Gold Medal for the same.

He is a member of reputed organizations like ASCO (American Society for Clinical Oncology), ASTRO (American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology), ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology), ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology), IASLC (International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer), AROI (Association of Radiation Oncologists of India), IMA (Indian Medical Association) and IBS (Indian Brachytherapy Society).

He is keenly interested in clinical research in Oncology and has the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research to his credit. He has several publications in reputed peer-reviewed international and national journals and has presented numerous papers and been an invited faculty in many conferences. His areas of interest include Head and Neck, Lung, Breast and Gynaecological Cancers, Image-Based Brachytherapy and Translational Oncology.
