Abhilash K. Desai MD, FAPA

Abhilash K. Desai MD is a board certified geriatric psychiatrist and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He completed his medical school at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in Bombay, India. Dr. Desai completed his psychiatry residency at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and then went on to complete his fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is co-author of the book titled “Psychiatric Consultation in Long-term Care: A guide for healthcare professionals” published in 2010 by the Johns Hopkins Press.

Dr. Desai specializes in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. He has a holistic approach that emphasizes tapping into the remarkable powers of brain healthy nutrition, positive neuroplasticity, and mindfulness to boost the benefits of state-of-the-science biomedical interventions.
