Dr. Abhijeet L. Wahegaonkar is a Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Upper Extremity, Hand & Microvascular Reconstructive Surgeon with more than 18 years of exclusive experience in the comprehensive management of upper extremity problems, practicing at Pune. After completing his residency in Orthopedic Surgery, he has received training in Hand Surgery, Microvascular Surgery, and Brachial Plexus & Peripheral Nerve Surgery in various prestigious institutes in the USA, France, Germany, Japan, and Switzerland including the world-famous Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand & Micro Surgery and the Mayo Clinic, USA.

His special interests include wrist surgery and he is widely regarded as a pioneer of wrist arthroscopy in India. He is also an expert in adult & obstetrical brachial plexus surgery, microvascular reconstructive surgery, sports injuries of the elbow, wrist, and hand. He has been trained at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and the Boston Children's Hospital for the treatment of congenital hand deformities and other hand & upper limb conditions in children.
