Dr. Abdou Elhendy specializes in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery and valvular heart disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac stress testing, and risk stratification. He joined Marshfield Clinic in 2006, saying that it fulfilled his desire to work for a multispecialty group that offered the resources to enhance his patients’ care.
Dr. Elhendy earned his medical degree at Cairo University-Faculty of Medicine, Egypt. He completed residencies in cardiovascular disease at Cairo University Hospital, and in internal medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. He completed fellowships in cardiology at Thoraxcenter, Rotterdam, Netherlands, and in echocardiography at Mayo Clinic-Mayo School of Health Sciences, Rochester, Minnesota.
He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac CT. He serves as a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison.
