Dr. Abbas Amini is an Associate Professor at the Australian College of ACK and Western Sydney University working on emerging topics in bio, nano, modern materials, energy, and high-tech industries. Dr. Amini received his associate degree in Mathematics, thereafter, he obtained his BEng and MEng, and then Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Amini has served in academia and industry in Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, and Kuwait, mostly for the University of Melbourne, Deakin University, Monash University, Western Sydney University, and ACK.
Dr. Abbas has received numerous awards and certificates, including Distinguished Bachelor Thesis, Distinguish Research Award in 2018 (ACK), Leaders of Learning (Harvard University, USA), WHS (CBD College, Sydney, Australia), TAE (CBD College, Melbourne, Australia), CNC (Institute of Technical Trades, Toronto, Canada), and so on. He was appointed as a member of the graduation supervision committee (for Ph.D. and MSc candidates) at Western Sydney University in 2014, and currently is an Adjunct Graduation Faculty Member at the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA. His collaborative outputs have reached a variety of milestones including cover page papers in prestigious journals, e.g., Advanced Functional Materials, Chemistry of Materials, etc.
