Aaron received his A.B. in physics from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.Phil. in the history of science, medicine, and technology from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He completed his Ph.D. in physics as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at Yale University, where he researched the physics of cellular adhesion and tissue formation in the laboratories of Prof. Eric Dufresne and Prof. Valerie Horsley. His current studies are on the role of mechanics in epithelial development.
