Dr George is the assistant program director and director of medical education for the Meritus Family Medicine Residency Program. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. and completed his residency in family medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He is a clinical associate professor at Penn State College of Medicine and was an Andlinger fellow in health policy with the Center for Public Health in Vienna, Austria. Dr George serves as a member of the Bureau of Membership for the American Osteopathic Association, a member of the Family Medicine Education Consortium and a fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. He was a recipient of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Award for excellence in graduate medical education. Dr George is eligible for board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine.
