Aalpen Ashokkumar Patel MD, MBA, FSIR

Dr. Patel began his career in 2001 as Assistant Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and an Interventional Radiologist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He led Radiology and the Interventional Radiology simulation program at Penn Medicine Clinical Simulation Center. He joined Geisinger in 2011 where he became Vice-Chair of Clinical Operations for System Radiology. In 2013, his role was expanded to Vice Chair of Informatics and Quality. He has also served as the founding program director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship and medical director of the 3D Image Processing Laboratory.

His clinical research interests include dialysis access management and interventional oncology. He is boarded in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Clinical Informatics and a Fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology.
