Dr. A. Kadir Bacakoglu is a leading Orthopedic & Joint Replacement Surgeon with a vast experience of +29 years in the field of orthopedics and trauma. He has professional associations with several medical societies, some of which are, the Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Turkish Society of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, the American Society of Hand Surgery (ASSH), the European Federation of Hand Surgery Associations, and the World Federation of Hand Surgery Societies among a few others. He completed his medical graduation in 1992 from Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, followed by specialization in 1997 from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. During this time, he also studied abroad at Hamburg University Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinics (1995). He then earned a fellowship from the Association of Orthopedic Research, Switzerland in 1995.
Dr. Bacakoglu is an expert orthopedic surgeon of hand surgery. Besides this, he also treats congenital hand, foot, upper extremity anomalies, deficiencies, deformities, post-partum cerebral palsy, spasticity, arthroscopic surgeries of the closed elbow, shoulder & wrist, wrist fractures, radius and ulna, lower-end fractures, scaphoid fractures, elbow pain, tennis/golfer's elbow, trigger finger and plexus and nerve injuries among a few other upper/lower extremity conditions. Dr. Bacakoglu has been an associate professor jury member of the Interuniversity Board, besides being a guide for thesis completion. He has also attended, organized, presented posters and papers at several meetings and conferences, both nationally and internationally. He very actively contributes to several publications besides being an editor for scientific publications, refereeing for scientific publications, and has co-authored a book, a chapter or article, and translated book chapters.
