Mission
The philosophy of the academy is strongly influenced by the founder of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Dr. Richard C. Webster. Dr. Webster's primary goal was learning and teaching. Subsequently the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery is willing to teach all doctors who are willing to learn.

As an international society our members come from countries with varying legal situations concerning medical practice. It is not our goal to be a regulatory society. Our primary objective is doctors education and training in cosmetic surgery. The resulting improvement of patients safety is the ultimate goal. This appears more necessary than ever in present times as there is otherwise no formal training programm for cosmetic or aesthtetic surgery.
