WON was created in 1998 to extend the conduct of clinical oncology trials into the community. WON has evolved to encompass research efforts in the region on a broader scale through the UWCCC’s status as a Lead Academic Participating Site for the National Clinical Trials Network.

WON members have access to advanced molecular imaging techniques through the Wisconsin Oncology Network for Imaging eXcellence (WONIX).
