The Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (WAOPS) is a non-profit professional organization comprised of osteopathic physicians, residents, interns, and medical students who meet the membership requirements of their bylaws. They promote the practice of osteopathic medicine and are dedicated to assisting the public in understanding its overall contribution to restoring and preserving good health. WAOPS offers continuing education programs that contribute to effective healthcare and are available to all members of the osteopathic profession.
Misson:
The mission of WAOPS shall be to promote the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine in Wisconsin through continuing medical education, support for osteopathic physicians in practice, and advocacy for osteopathic medicine. In addition, WAOPS will apply osteopathic philosophy to advocate for a healthcare delivery system that maximizes the health of their communities.
