Virginia Association of Hematologists and Oncologists (VAHO)

The Virginia Association of Hematologists and Oncologists (VAHO) represents the common interests of oncologists and hematologists treating cancer in Virginia. They provide educational programs, networking opportunities, and robust advocacy support to help practices stay ahead of the shifting healthcare landscape and meet the challenges that directly impact how they care for their patients.

Founded in 1990, the Virginia Association of Hematologists and Oncologists (VAHO) is the largest oncology professional organization in the state. VAHO comprises a powerful community of oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary care providers involved in the treatment of patients with cancer.

Their Mission, They strive to:
• Improve the quality of oncology care available to the people of Virginia;
• Support oncology education and facilitate the development and use of new cancer management techniques in the community;
• Serve as a leader in the oncology field, representing our members and the local community at state and national events;
• Provide access to scientific, socioeconomic, clinical, and other relevant data; and
• Promote collegial relationships among oncology professionals in Virginia.
