Mission and vision
The UZ Brussel is a university hospital with almost 4,000 employees. With 721 hospital beds, UZ Brussel annually accounts for more than 30,000 admissions, almost as many daily admissions, 360,000 consultations, and this for patients from home and abroad.

The UZ Brussel offers full medical care, consisting of various specialties. This is, in fact, inextricably linked to his training function specific to a university hospital. Organizing medical training is only possible if the hospital has a full range of clinical care. Scientific research is an important other focus.

Since its foundation in 1977, UZ Brussel has grown into a fully-fledged partner in the (university) hospital landscape in Flanders, in Brussels and in the world.
