University of Vermont Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education (UVM CMIE)

Preserving the passion for learning by sponsoring quality educational activities is the goal of Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education at the Robert Larner M.D. College of Medicine/The University of Vermont Medical Center. Their programs provide opportunities for health care professionals to master what is new, gain fresh insights into the diagnosis and management of common clinical conditions, and share successes and challenges with colleagues.

The Office of Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education (OCMIE) at the Robert Larner M.D. College of Medicine provides a broad spectrum of accredited continuing education opportunities for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, social workers and other health care professionals in their efforts to provide lifelong interprofessional learning experiences for maintenance of certification and to enhance medical knowledge, performance and team based learning.

Every effort is made to ensure that specialty society credit and nursing credit is also obtained for appropriate programs, so that professionals attending these courses may earn the credit most useful to them in fulfilling their continuing medical education requirements.
