Mission:
Established in its current configuration in 2012, the Department was born from the confluence of the three traditional Departments of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology, with the aim of putting to use in a dialectical unitary profile the different skills of the methodological and dialectical cultural type among the three disciplinary areas.
For the Philosophy area, historical orientations and theoretical, logical-linguistic and epistemological orientations coexist in relation to the traditions of philosophical studies, with particular attention to the forms of written and digital communication.
For the Pedagogy area, the lines of research combine theoretical activities with applied research based on teaching technologies, adult education, intercultural pedagogy and special educational needs, with particular attention to the world of schools and to other agencies operating in the area.
For the area of Psychology they make use of theoretical-applicative models and scientific methodologies developed in the field of experimental, clinical-dynamic, social, work, developmental and educational psychology and psychometrics, with particular regard for psychological, individual and relational factors that influence psycho-social well-being in the life cycle and in the social contexts that characterize it in its various evolutionary stages.
This multidisciplinary and pluralistic structure responds to a social and cultural demand for the development of theoretical and applied research, with the transfer of knowledge in particular in the areas of teacher training, psychologists and communication experts, including digital.
